Simplicity Regent Controls

Mower Dashboard

The controls to drive your Simplicity Regent Mower are fairly easy.  Looking at the picture below i'll go over each control of the Simplicity Regent tractor.  In the lower right you can see the red button that you push and pull.  It has a P on it.  That's the parking brake.  Push the left foot pedal in and pull up to set the parking brake.  Push the foot control to release.  The red lever sets the speed of the motor.  When you start the mower pull it towards you, then push it all the way forward to the rabbit setting to mow.  The black lever is the choke.  Push it forward when the motor is cold, then pull towards you once the tractor has started.

The black switch on the left is your headlights.  Yellow key looking object is a switch that turns on the reverse mow override.  When you want to back up with the mower blade spinning you must first flip this switch to enable the safety override.  Otherwise the mower quits if you try and go into reverse with the blade running.  The yellow button on the far side of the picture is the button that sets the blades spinning.  Think of it as a blade engage or disengage button on the Simplicity Regent.

The knob on the left you turn to adjust the height of the cut.  The next pedal over is the reverse pedal.  The right most pedal is the forward pedal, you'll use this most often when mowing with your Simplicity tractor.  The lever below lowers the entire deck to the ground with whatever cut hight you specified.
